Tips for happy puzzling
Choose the right pen
A pencil or an ordinary ballpoint works best. Markers, felt tips and gel pens can soak through the paper onto the next puzzle.
Look for the first letter
Pick a word, find its first letter in the grid, then check the letters around it in every direction.
Words can run any way
Across, down or on a slant. A few words in each puzzle run backward, just to keep things interesting.
